IPITEK unveils its state-of-the-art 10GE service-centric carrier Ethernet solution

CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA – IPITEK, Inc. a premier provider of high-speed networking and transmission equipment for a wide range of US and international service providers, announced today that it launched its latest carrier Ethernet solution, the MSP-10GE-4P. The MSP-10GE-4P is symbolizing IPITEK’s pursuit towards a new level of service-oriented networking capabilities. Combining intelligent access and aggregation capabilities with unique SLA-driven functions for carrier-grade Ethernet services and networks, the MSP-10GE-4P is setting the stage and defining the standard for next-generation networks.

 

The MSP-10GE-4P supports the latest Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) carrier Ethernet requirements (i.e., CE 2.0 specifications). No other product in the market can parallel the capabilities of the MSP-10GE-4P with its dedicated hardware-based design, achieving superior performance for accurate SLA monitoring and OAM per IEEE 802.1ag, IEEE 802.3ah and end-to-end ITU-T Y.1731 and multi-priority and hierarchical QoS traffic while ensuring latency, jitter and packet delivery performance on a per Ethernet Virtual Circuit (EVC) or per-flow basis. Thus, the MSP-10GE-4P guarantees the carrier-class and highest possible service availability along with end-to-end performance management across mobile backhaul, multi-carrier networks, as required by providers of premium communications services, such as for business applications.

 

IPITEK's MSP-10G-4P is a compact and highly-integrated solution providing 24 1GE SFP or copper ports, two 10G XFP ports, and two 10G SFP+ ports. At the service level, Ethernet Virtual Circuits (EVCs) can be created to support E-Line, E-LAN or E-Tree customer connections. This allows for an optimized support of comprehensive services and applications including mobile backhaul, business services, access networks, aggregation networks, demarcation, etc. Advanced hierarchical QoS enables the delivery of differentiated services with per-service SLA guarantees including the support of MEF-defined Committed Information Rate (CIR) and Excess Information Rate (EIR).
