IPITEK Pushes Edge Of Network Aggregation Technology With New Multi-Rate Circuit Emulation

Limitless Mapping of T1/E1 and T3/E3 signals Allows For Flexibility in Migrating Ethernet and Legacy Services Across One Integrated Network

October 24, 2016

CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA – IPITEKa leading designer, developer, manufacturer, and supplier of advanced carrier-grade network equipment, today introduced an industry-leading solution for supporting legacy TDM services over Ethernet networks by using multi-rate circuit emulation services (MSP-CES) technology. IPITEK’s innovative MSP-CES product now supports the aggregation of T1 (and E1) signals into T3 (and E3) signals across carrier Ethernet transport networks.

Using this unique new feature, customers can leverage their existing access infrastructure and multiplexing schemes while migrating to a cost-effective carrier Ethernet network. The new feature allows for mapping T1/E1 signals to one or more T3/E3 interfaces, all performed over the carrier-class Ethernet network. By utilizing the industry-based standard of M13 Multiplexing, this capability will provide customers the unlimited flexibility of supporting revenue-generating packet services side-by-side with legacy services over one integrated Ethernet network, without compromising system performance.

“As the pioneer in CES technology, IPITEK is the only vendor in the industry that offers a solution for the aggregation of T1/E1 into T3/E3 from different locations across an Ethernet network,” said Dr. Michael Salour, IPITEK’s Chairman and CEO. “Our new MSP-CES feature has the capabilities for supporting all types of TDM applications, including legacy business services, as well as 2G, 3G, LTE and WiMax mobile technologies. Plus, when paired with IPITEK’s MSP-1588 precise Ethernet timing solution, it provides the most cost-effective and scalable Circuit Emulation solution in the industry.”

In addition, the M13 Multiplexing feature is customizable and flexible, with the ability to be enabled and disabled per a customer's need. With the new feature, all TDM traffic is converted to Ethernet, where it is multiplexed with other data services and transported over a 1 Gigabit Ethernet link. The MSP-CES chassis is highly scalable at only 1 RU high with a maximum power-consumption of never more than 80 Watts.
