The MSP-1588 is the industry's most cost-effective, precise, flexible, and application-specific packet-based timing protocol (PTP) using IEEE1588v2.
The MSP-1588 uses an extremely small footprint by integrating various synchronized time and frequency input and output standards, including GPS Source, Building-Integrated Timing Supply (BITS), 1Pulse Per Second (PPS), Time Of Day (TOD), and 10MHZ/1.544MHZ/2.048MHZ Frequencies. This new synchronization solution also features the highest-quality commercially available internal oscillator for backup clock redundancy.
